Null Storm 60 cards, 0 sideboard 4 {Crookshank Kobolds} 4 {Kobolds of Kher Keep} 4 {Ornithopter} 4 {Simian Spirit Guide} 4 {Crimson Kobolds} 4 {Elvish Spirit Guide} 4 {Street Wraith} 28 creatures 3 {Null Profusion} 4 {Gitaxian Probe} 2 {Pyretic Ritual} 2 {Recycle} 4 {Manamorphose} 4 {Dark Ritual} 1 {Grapeshot} 4 {Lotus Petal} 4 {Noxious Revival} 4 {Cabal Ritual} 32 other spells Sideboard Notes: So um yeah. The turbojank deck. Either wins or fails miserably. Very all in. But hey it's pretty not bad. Costs just shy of 100 dollars. T1 potential with t3-t5 more likely. Won two games out of 5 so far |
Quote from: ConanEdo on February 24, 2015, 02:43:00 AMYeah I know. Thanks though. I found an article about recycle and null profusion and just decided to build hank cheerios
Good old legacy Cheerios. If {Pact of Negation} is still reasonably priced it's an excellent budget force for this deck.
Edit: damn, it jumped with Amulet combo decks exploding, still, you can get four for less than a Force
Quote from: NovusOrbis on February 24, 2015, 05:25:46 PMGenerate enough mana with rituals, petals, and guides to either play {Null Profusion} or {Recycle}. Cycle through the rest of the deck (play, draw, play, draw, rinse and repeat) because pretty much everything costs 0 (hence the name) and draws another spell. Grapeshot for your storm count of janky spells.
Could you show me how this works please? I can't seem to find the combo.
Quote from: Thetrufflehunter on February 24, 2015, 08:06:50 PMExactly. Or just have {grapeshot} and 2 copies of {Noxious Revival}Quote from: NovusOrbis on February 24, 2015, 05:25:46 PMGenerate enough mana with rituals, petals, and guides to either play {Null Profusion} or {Recycle}. Quote from: particle on February 25, 2015, 03:25:33 PMI considered it but I'd rather not have to generate more mana for that when I already have a solid win
What about {glimpse of nature}?
Quote from: particle on February 26, 2015, 10:57:31 AMBut I like the feeling of being able to play anything to draw cards
{recycle} seems quite expensive cmc wise. Once you get to 6 mana, do you normally still have cards in your hand to fuel it. I'm suprised glimpse isn't better here since it's so much cheaper.

Quote from: particle on February 27, 2015, 08:50:10 AMI have tried both. Also it's notable to say that you can run five copies of Null Profusion but only four of glimpseQuote from: Munchlax on February 27, 2015, 12:30:16 AMQuote from: particle on February 26, 2015, 10:57:31 AMBut I like the feeling of being able to play anything to draw cards

Understandable. I would test both and see which is faster. The discard also seems rough if your just 1 mana short one turn to set up the next.
