So, I'm starting to get into shooting pretty heavily, so I figured I'd see if anyone else is. If so, what do you shoot?
As of right now, I've just got my 5.56/.223 DPMS AR15, but I'm hoping to purchase an Aug A3 in the next year or so. I've got everything I want on my AR and am ready to start saving up for my next rifle. Is an Aug sensible? No. Do I care? Not really 😄

I may enjoy my guns, but I'm not into it that much... ;)
Just buy some tanner it's and call it good.
Haha I'm actually looking into using some tannerite targets. I have to go to someone's personal range, though... Stupid normal ranges don't like explosions.
Wait so you spend hundreds of dollars just to waste hundrds of dollars shooting bullets at a range? Do you at least hunt?

Can't hunt with an AR :P Bought the AR mostly for prepping/anticipated price jump. It's a .loving. blast to shoot, too. The Aug will be the same deal. If I were to play it smart, I'd buy a shotgun for hunting and a pistol for concealed carrier, but rifles are just fun. It's not a waste. It's like spending hundreds of dollars on cardboard to sit in a smelly room with other nerds and play games 😜

I believe they have tactical ranges where you run through a course shooting targets.
I'd kinda enjoy some of the more competition style shootin. I've got a ways to go, though. Still getting the AR broken in haha

I don't tend to blow up my sleeves and send them flying at targets :P
Could be more fun that way haha
People generally go through sleeves a lot slower than bullets ;)

Depends. I've had two magazines for a month or so. If you're using ultra pros, you'd already have had to replace them :P
Lol.
Very close to true, I split something like 7 ultra pros day 1 of gp Boston. Then again how much did those magazines cost you? My ultra pros are a lot cheaper...

Dude, suck it up and buy some KMCs. Ultra Pros are the worst sleeves you can buy.
I really should, but I don't play too much modern otherwise and I had lots of extras so I didn't mind.... Anyway back on topic.

$13 for 30 rounds.
Well one thing is for sure: you can stop a robber with an AR, but you cannot stop them with MTG
They might take your black lotus and leave if they play too ;)
Two rounds in the back with an AR will return that black lotus to its owners library ;)

Are you sure. Look at the cuts you can get from some sleeves.
Perhaps a ninja could stop a robber with magic cards then, but no one else

You just don't have the heart of the cards!!!!
Challenge them to a shadow game!!
Wait... Wrong game...
I shoot a Remington 12 gauge and .22
And my favorite
My cc glock 26
I enjoy both hobbies, I don't buy as much ammo as I do cards but I'll tell you, feeling the bullets course through my gun! It's just exciting and it's a different kind of fun shooting for sport with guys at the target range.
I feel like it uses different parts of my brainage
I'd considered getting a 12 gauge next because trap shooting is a blast! There's something awesome about shooting a pump action shotgun haha.
I had also considered getting a .22 to do some plinking, but they are way more expensive than I was expecting...
OMG!!!!! GUNS ARE BAD!!!! THEY KILL PEOPLE!!!!!! So for real, I love guns. I currently have a mossberg 12g for home defense, Ruger 9mm for extra home defense and a SKS for mid range stoppage. I want my next toy to be a .308 or 30-06 that can whack a pack of cigaretts from a few hundred yards or so, you know, just incase a pack of butts gets out of line or something.

What kind of .308 are you looking at? I'm thinking about a Ruger American if I decide to get one. If you can't tell, I've been thinking about what to get next for a while haha

The AK is a pretty fun rifle, really. On top of that, it's cheap (comparatively) and easy to clean. By easy to clean, I mean the AK doesn't give a .love. whether you clean it or not.
It malfunctions a lil with the cheaper mag (10 rounds only in CA :/ ) but definitely very accurate and not much kick. I wanna get my girl used to firing off guns too :)

Yeah kinda sad here in Cali we have such messed up gun laws, but right next door ( az an nv) have some of the most relaxed laws.
I am also trying to get the wife into shooting, that zombie/angels devils/ nuclear war etc is coming soon! She needs to be ready lol

Dude that thing is the nuts. It would be so fun to play with. I wouldn't mind a saiga 12g either. I need to shake this magic habit so I can feed my gun habit.
Anybody have a preferred hollow point?
Looking to find something to stock for my carry gun.
Sold my magic cards for an arsenal ;)
My personal favorite gun is an XCR-L that thing is amazing for a rifle
I got guns, two of them. Normal people would call them my FISTS!!!!
Guns are why we can't have nice things: http://time.com/3194693/9-year-old-girl-uzi-arizona-firing-range/
And yet some people still say we don't need gun control.....I'm not talking about striking out the second amendment (although I personally would), but this shouldn't happen.
If you didn't follow the link, a nine-year old girl was allowed to shoot an Uzi at a gun range and couldn't control it (go figure) and accidentally killed a gun instructor.
I personally prefer bows...

Muggy I can't agree more.

I don't want to get into a debate as to whether guns are good or they are bad here but I have to comment on this. This is a horrible ACCIDENT, there is zero malicious intent here. This is not much different than her accidentally taking a car out of gear and running him over. The gun that it happened with IS in fact a controlled weapon. You have to go through very serious checks and balances to buy a fully automatic weapon. This is why she and her parent were renting it at a range verses shooting their own weapon. This is a situation where they put the wrong gun in the child's hands, I'm 100% not against a 9 yo shooting the correct gun (a small caliber rifle, a smaller caliber hand gun and absolutely not fully automatic), but this was simply a bad discussion on the part of the parent and of the instructor. Just sucks that 9 yo is going to live with these bad decisions that were not made by her.

I don't own a bow, but I love archery as well. So much fun! Also (generally) safer :)
