If I used {mimic vat} on a {geralf's messenger} and then token got blocked and killed, would it return? I know it's a copy of the creature, but tokens don't hit te graveyard
exactly it would disappear before it returns

Tokens DO hit the graveyard, but the vanish immediately once they do. By the time the undying trigger tries to bring it back, it's gone.
What if the token has a kicker can you activate that
kicker is for when you cast it
