I knew you had it, and attacked with infect because my other guys were too small to attack at all...this way I could get through the next turn.
Now, if I knew you would sac it anyway I wouldn't have attacked, but s'est la vie.

I guess. I don't know whether this is just a bad matchup or my deck is weak, or your luck the luckiest drawer ever. It would be hard for you to get better draws if you picked them. Not just this game, but every format we played.
The nice thing about Melira Pod is the ability to pack so much hate and recursion into the 75. Regardless, what are you saying?
Just shockingly bad luck on my end and good luck on yours. Not to take away your skill, or the fact that some matchups are just bad (I do tend to play fragile decks, it's my inner Johnny). Just with luck like we've had it I havnt even put up a fight except when I had a but draw. I guess I should just stick with decks like slivers or jarad. Everything else has too good of hosers out there and you draw them or save them for just the right moment. ({archon of justice} is my new nemesis. Lol)
So, any ideas on how my deck can fight pod? {steel sabotage} to counter pod or to bounce my howling mines is all I can think...doesn't help much though then you get three removal spells out by turn three.
{Boomerang}, {Echoing Truth} and {Repeal} can protect your stuff and slow down your opponent. I do admit that I really enjoy playing cutthroat decks with lots of answers.
I already have 2-3 repeal and the four cryptic comand. Uncounterable makes it harder for me to fight, as remand and {spell pierce} are my easy early answers.
Problem is that repeal and and are expensive, and anything else puts me down a card (I don't lose the mine, but I lose a spell, you lose a spell, and I'm still stuck with the card in hand rather than in play (so you drew an extra card and I didn't.
{mind break trap} could work, but is easy to play around.
{time stop} works and is a time walk when needed, but is really expensive.
The ruins..forget the name...colorless land that sacs to grab an artifact from graveyard, can work I guess..,
While we talk about that, what format you want to play? This matchup is not fun, and just makes my deck feel bad. Heh

I can use dredge three times for the first one, each of the creatures I discarded last turn have dredge. and I do. But it still increases my hand size by one, same as if I hadn't dredged, so then we each draw seven again the second time, (but since I discard first I can dredge three times again, more if I put more dredge cards in te graveyard). Yes? This is complex so I want to make sure I get it right.
And thanks/sorry. My compueter is gligchibg, making it fine to draw shuffle etc, but hard to read te cards easy and I thought I had to show the demon fetch. I assume you would have made the same play regardless.

In pretty sure it does work that way. So my first dredge finds {life from the loan} so I actually draw three cards. The next dredge shows {darkmor salvage} so I actually draw two cards.

Game indeed! +1 I always forget that the weakness to this deck is dredge. I'm considering putting some {relic of progenitus} in here just to combat it (I have to face fj76ts4's dredge often). What do you think is a good way to deal with it?
Hmm...relic is good, {leyline of the void} also. You could go for mill as a backup win (I currently have 22 cards in library, enough for two more turns at full dredge power) but that would be more goofy, less competitive.
More reanimate that can hit my graveyard would be good. Steal the good stuff I dredge or just steal my dredge cards.
I got pretty lucky this time. Two best sedge cards in opening hand. I usually sedge like twice per game...I never had to do it defensively like this.

Ok, so they each produce colorless mana, (with a green comander, red mana that would enter my pool becomes colorless). I can still cast the caller f the claw off {scorned villager} and I can do the green for {sprout swarm} off the convoke ability. I would have to tap stuff different, but since each saproling can give me the green needed for the next casting, it will make there be fewer though. Let me do math...aka redo the saproling creation.
Instead of 11 existing at start of turn I have...,10. So this turn I make...two fewer during my upkeep. I'll still attack with ten 5/5 saporlings and the bees.
I also never realized that hall of gemstones stops coubterspells etc during my turn. Nice.
I may have messed up math, but I think I have 13 summoning sickness saporlings now, not 20. Mana in this deck is so exponential I would not be surprised...regardless I don't want to dot he math a third time. Ten attacking. 13 not. Sac four so that's 9 alive with summoning sickness.

I love this deck as its my kind of math.
So last turn I made a small pile of saprolings of {sprout swarm}, using colorless mana from my lands and virtual green mana from the card's convoke ability.
This turn during upkeep I made a bigger pile of saprolings with {nemata grove guardian} and his ability. (Then untapped again with {awakening})
Then I attack with the 1/1 saprolings I make last turn, and sacrifice some of the new ones to {nemata grove guardian} to pump all saprolings until end of turn.
If needed I can pump the bees or can sacrifice more saprolings to increase the attackers' power
Dang, nice! I don't think I ever expected to be killed by saprolings in a game of magic. :P

Brimaz is amazing, but since he's legendary i might drop one or two for more {fabled hero}. Also, Glimpse is a nice finisher, but I feel like {Brave the elements} does more for you. A few {mutavaults} and {last breath} may be wanted. The deck looks great as far as I can tell, however, and takes advantage of all of the good voltron in theros. Talk to you tomorrow!
Well, the legend is a target for removal, so a second one is usually useful (I think) and glimpse is my secret heroic tech. ;). Attack, cast it to tap all my attacking heroic guys (already tapped) and any blockers as well.
Mutavault may be perfect. The only time I can imagine mutavault being a problem color wise is if I go plains. Mutavault Into {hero of acrios}. Then without a third mana I want to cast {gift of orzhov a}. An unlikely situation.

On a different note, I found the answer to {abrupt decay} in modern.
{redirect} as a three of in the sideboard. What do you think? It stops coubterspells and removal, it can hinder infect pumps, fairly versatile against about half the decks out there.

On {redirect}, it's nice, but it only works if there isn't another target, and after you pull off that truck the first time, the other player will play around it. {Boomerang} can counter it while slowing aggro and annoying combo.
If I boomerang my howling mine, then I'm still down a card, I have to replay howling mine, and they get to draw the first time around and I don't.
I assume they will have something I can target wth abrupt decay. And if they play around it for fear I have it, that's awesome too.

I think you could have beat me by sing that -3/-3 on your own small guy blocking or blocked by my lifelink, so my lifelink would have been canceled
Ooh i forgot about negating lifelink. I'd say you did a pretty ideal job of bestowing, though: you put it on the token when you needed vigilance and on your hoplite late in the game to power through. I agree that your deck is well optimized.
To give you a challenge, I'm going to try playing esper control since it has enough removal to combat your voltron. Just give me a sec to load up the deck and I'll take my turn. :)
