What was your first deck? Do you miss any of the cards?
Mine was a Grixis Nicol Bolas deck that I got when I bought the Ajani vs. Bolas starter decks. I do miss it a lot especially {Vapor Snag} lol it eventually went from Grixis to Izzet to Standard Izzet with Talrand, Gutty, and Delver. It was awesome to play but Grixis control is not something I recommend for a beginner like me. Lol
Mine was a messed up deck that used {Xira Arien} and {Craw Giant}... Man he was beast back in the day...
The m13 {B}{W} exalted intro deck.
Some casual, legacy mono-black trull deck.
Also made a Standard white-black token deck. Both were really bad.
Five-color All The Stuff. All my cards. Ever. Then it went more torwards Red aggro/goblin stuff for a short time ({Krenko, Mob Boss} deck was my first real deck) then settled on Izzet Burn/Control for about 5 months before I went into modern. Current decks are eggs, RDW, and Esper Control. Of what I miss? My foil {Omnisience}... Dang that ***** in my school! I also miss my two Dark Realms I pulled, I traded them to austinist1 for a foil {Flesh//Blood} when it was 20ยข:( buys its okay, it was at FNM, i should have price checked.
Green stomp! I just put a lot of big stuff in a deck with 24 forests!
When I first got into magic I bought a fatpack of zendikar and went mono green ramp/big creatures. Now I have 30ish functional decks that can compete against almost everything they play. I've been moving into standard more recently and have a RG bloodrush deck and a WR heroic/enchantment deck....both are extremely fast and can easily beat/be competitive with my friends' modern and casual decks.
My first that I solely owned was a {W}{B} deck way back in the days of {Purgatory}.

Old school. Wish I played then. My fav thing about mtg is deck building and finding off the wall synergies!
A {B}{G} deck that revolved around {Vultorous Zombie} and TONS of removal. It was really bad...
Mine was a mono white random stuff deck, I was so new hahaha. Some cards in it where {Springjack Shepard}, {Resplendant Mentor}, {Goldenglow Moth}, {Beacon Hawk}, {Rebuff the Wicked}. After that I made my first deck that made sense, it was white weenie Kor Tribal with equipment.

Mine was the inistrad werewolves. I loved that deck but than I met Olivia voldaren. And vampires became my friend.

Some chroma are kind of interesting. Are there any modern decks that can be created with devotion as well as chroma?

Mine was a {B} {U} control deck back in revised era. Original {counter spell}, {force of will}, {royal assasian}, {demonic tutor} and {icy manipulator}. The finisher was {leviathan} I believe....
I had a gruul aggro with no rares. It was alright for what it was.
First one I remember was B/W Vampires and Angels that I called Heaven & Hell. Loved that deck.
Merrow Riverways. I started in during the Lorwyn block and ever since that deck {U} has been my favorite.
Orzhov intro deck in Gatecrash
It was terrible at first but after an OH SO lucky trade for a {Damnation} It has tons of creature removal and most of all I have a great time playing it!
I've been hoping to work it into a Commander deck eventually. But yeah that's where I started!
Yeah I've been *trying* to build a commander deck for some time. I have my commander ({mayael, the anima}), but that's about it.
My first deck was a Bant Splicer Golem deck. I remember thinking that {Blade Splicer} was, at the time, "oh my god, this the most powerful, crazy cool card I've EVER SEEN!"
First pack I ever opened had griselbrand so I wanted to get him out quickly so my first deck was mono black reanimater

I was pretty terrible. If I'm not mistaken It was mono {U} drakes. No combos. No tricks. No buffs. No evasion. Just bad drakes...
Followed by a mono {G} wurm deck big.. green.. wurms... with some fogs and an isochron sceptor to re use them.. sold that deck for like 40$ to some guy in college
Then an {W} angel deck. Figured out how to use good angels... but not about mana curve.. maybe a few tricks... might a got 80 $ for that one
Last two were from ravnica - time spiral
{U} {W} knights.. no not humans. No not azorious.. knights.. nothing really to build a tribe around but hey leave me alone there were some... spells to...
Then the eve of my transformation
I took a mono {B} korlash zombie deck to states
(Mind you I didn't know how to look up full set)
So no slaughter pact, and I didn't know what a tormogoyf or timbermare was.
I got dead last.
Lorwyn and shards came out. I got better.

pretty much the same here. Loved the tap with icy kill with assassin. I also played a RDW with {lightning bolt } {fireball} and {granite gargoyle} topping out at {shivan dragon}
Mine was legacy {W}{U} with cool guys like {Wonder} and {Mageta the Lion}
Some mono blue eighth edition deck that ran {Vizzerdrix} when my cousin convinced me to buy an intro deck.
Black and Green Scavenger deck, I thought it was pretty clever and I still have most all of the deck.
Well I had a mono black flying {Hypnotic Specter} ,a green random green card deck, a red goblin deck featuring {Goblin King} and {Goblin Warrens}
Finally I made a decent GUR mana ramping into a fireball. Red and blue were for controlling the field.
