You get 2 mana total from the land. It's all in the parenthesis on the card.
It produces 2 mana, 1 mana of the land that you enchanted, and also 1 of any color (not sure if you could pick like purple or orange though?)

While it would spice the game up a bit, you cannot choose a color outside of the standard colors for MtG.
Yerp, its in the rulebook.

Actually, while playing unglued/unhinged game rules, you can pick any color on the infinite color wheel for mana, (just only use for it is colorless) :)

If I find it I will send a link

Magic just got worse for me
The rules:
105.1. (http://imtgapp.com/forum/index.php?action=imtg;area=rule;number=105.1.): There are five colors in the _Magic_ game: white, blue, black, red, and green.
105.4. (http://imtgapp.com/forum/index.php?action=imtg;area=rule;number=105.4.): If a player is asked to choose a color, he or she must choose one of the five colors. "Multicolored" is not a color. Neither is "colorless."
That is true however unglued/unhinged break many of the normal rules for magic.
