Well if I played halo 4 I'd be set for codes because I work in recycling and have tons of caps at my disposal if I want to look. If I. Ever climb out of the loader ill shoot some codes your way.

Not a problem. Before coke changed the reward points system to 100 per week. It used to be 100 per day. I got tons of free stuff. A portable DVD player. 28 ten Dollar Sony gift cards. And other stuff.

I'm not saying the game isn't successful. There's a difference. If I sell red ice to you one day, and then come around next year tried and succeeded in selling you blue ice, it's not amazing. Just successful. And the blue ice would be just about as different from the red ice as Halo 4 is from any other FPS.

Using the ice as the common factor, it could be interpreted that the ice represents FPS's. therefore, by eliminating the common factor of ice (FPS's) halo 4 is as different from every other FPS as red is from blue. That's pretty different. My point is that it was never stated that they are the same.

Actually, that's exactly what I meant. They are all the same. Name one thing, aside from the story, that is different? All of them share the same exact mechanics, the same exact gameplay, the same exact, well, everything.
Not saying they don't have there place. Just not in my game library.

I never said Halo sucks. Well, I mean, I think it does. But like I said, it has its place. People like it. I'm really not trying to take anything away from Halo or any other FPS. I'm personally just not a fan.
I'm sorry, you can't just disregard a whole genre of games and say they are not good because you don't like them.
Personally, I'm not a fan of halo, but there are plenty of FPS's and 3rdPS's that I really do like.
Same way I'm not a fan of Warcraft, but I've played the pants off many other RPGs and RTSs.
The problem is that they all feel the same to me. And I just feel my intelligence is insulted every year when the latest CoD or Madden comes out and they offer nothing new. I've tried many FPSs from the CoDs to the first three Halo games, to Quake and Doom. I just don't enjoy them.

Yeah, I never once insulted anyone who plays those games. In fact, I commented several times about these games being successful. I will never insult a gamer for enjoying a game or genre that I don't.

I've played COD then tried to switch to halo. The sights just don't feel as tight in halo as they do COD.
Sadly, the issue I have with video games these days spreads across all genres.
RPG games hasn't evolved from the 3 basic quests(explore, fedex, assassinate) nor have they changed any story. They are all the same: Save the world. The only thing they do is they try to change the gameplay with different mechanics and that is why I play them. Some mechanics are good, others are shite.
RTS's are the same. Build town. Gather resource. Build Army. Swarm enemy. I've yet to see one that changed that paradigm in a way that was worth a damn. However, I play these because I do find them fun. Like FPSs, multiple play throughs can allow different paths to be taken.
Now, all of this isn't to say that I don't play FPSs at all. I do. I quite enjoy Borderlands, Fallout, Doom, Quake. And at points, they are fun and enjoyable. Mostly when I'm in multiplayer.

For strategy you've got Black and White 2 where you have a completly different way to beat your opponent if you so wich.
Rpg is tougher.
It depends of what you consider "rpg" but im guessing more traditional level up with stats kind of rpg?

Uh Idk much about borderlands but Fallout is defiantly an RPG
Honestly, I play Borderlands 1 & 2 for the writing. The NPC's are all freaking hilarious. But it's kind of in the same vein of Fallout. FPS with RPG elements. Skill tree and all.

Fallout is an RPG with elements of FPS, not the other way around. Look back to fallout 1, 2, and the spin off dealie amidst them. Not at all FPS, but very RPG. Guns dont make a game a first person shooter alone.
You're correct. In the case of Fallout, I definitely meant it the other way around. But Borderlands is FPS first, RPG second.
Fallout 3 was one of my favorite games of all time. Fallout new Vegas was by far the biggest disappointment of all time right next to FFX -2. I will turn into a flower and become unstoppable!!! Lol

New Vegas was amazing. You just couldn't look at it like Fallout 3. Fallout 3 wasn't like Fallout 2. Did it turn out so bad? ;) And the DLC for New Vegas is absolutely phenomenal. Except the casino one. Stopped playing the game altogether for 4 months because of that DLC.......
