Cool! I recently got three Innistrad packs for winning FNM and I pulled a {Snapcaster Mage} and a {Liliana of the Veil}.
I got three packs of DA in hopes of getting a gravecrawler or decent trade fodder and got nothing 😢

But seriously, I have awful luck with packs. I bought one random pack from Starcity once and got a {Temporal Mastery}. I think that is the best luck I've had when impulse buying MtG cards.

I stopped buying packs. Why? I have 💩 luck. I stick to 15$ drafts. 3 packs =12$ +3$ for prize pool. More people show up, bigger prize pool. I'm not sure how they make money of drafts if they do.

They probably make $ off the people buying gaming supplies, cards, other packs, singles, etc. I've wondered the same thing about how they could make $ and that's all I've come up with

Because at $4 a pack x 36 = $144 a box I know they pay less then $95 a box. Also if they are like the lgs I go to they sell junk food at ridiculously marked up prices.
Oh yea but on topic last pack I got was bsing at the lgs. Asked if there were any good packs left because people pick thru the boxes. He said yes. I got an M13 pulled a dual land and foil {stuffy doll}

At FNM 3 months ago I took first and won 8 packs. the first 7 packs were all junk, then on the last pack I pulled {Huntmaster of the Fells} and a foil {Sorin, Lord of Innistrad} dude I was so happy.

Avg is 7? 1 in 8 rares is a mythic, making avg 4 for a box of 36 packs. I usually get 3 or 4. Have never gotten 5 or more.
Granted, the flip card in inn/dka skews it slightly but not that much. Where do you people get this luck, and can I borrow it?

I feel unlucky. I bought 1 AVR box and got 3 mythics. 1 was wasted on {Descent into Madness}. And then I didn't even pull {Cavern of Souls} or even something like a {Silverblade Paladin}

We had a AVR box like that... 2 {Descent into Madness} way to many (8 I think) {Zealous Conscripts} and a {Tibalt}. The box did score me 3 foil islands...
I won the m13 prerelease and got 14 packs, in all 20 packs I got that night (6 from prerelease 14 as prize) I didn't get a single mythic. I got 2 {Door to nothingness} and 3 {Wit's end}
I have never gotten less than 6 mythics in a box. If I got 3 or 4 I would probably cry.

Just opened an M13 and an Avacyn Restored booster a week ago. In the M13 pack, the rare was Omniscience and the foil was a foil Omniscience. For the Avacyn pack, the rare was a Bonfire.

I only ever buy it for the box, die, and 9 boosters. I swear by those boxes.
Fat packs rule. Tons of value from them, even if you don't get good cards. Those deck boxes are cool, die, land pack, guide. Totally worth it, even if it does work out to $4 per pack.
Not having it pay for itself doesn't mean I don't buy one for every set :P I love the spin down dice. And the actual fat pack boxes are really useful for moving decks or holding basic lands.
Yeah true I do like then box and the spindown, still I would have been much better off buying 2 of the the black avacyn event deck for a guaranteed 2x {gravecrawler} 2x {geraffs messenger} and 2x {surgical extraction} but what can ya do haha I'll prolly buy a rtr fat pack and a booster box anyways just for the new dice and box and see all the cards on the list too
