searing spear to the face for forest and a mountain.
Swing with avenger, elf, spider, and your guy for 8 I believe.
Spear is overkill if you can't stop any of it.

well that's a game over, nice dude that was fun, but maybe I shouldn't have a deck of 90 something cards

Good game. And yeah, I'd definitely cut that deck down to 60. It'll be much more consistent.

Just an FYI, I saw someone play a Pillar of Flame in response to something; only instants and cards with flash can be used in response like that.  Sorceries can't, unfortunately 

Ah dang. I had that and a spear in my hand and totally forgot one was a sorcery. I don't think it would have mattered though because I would have cast it on my turn if I noticed that and the end result would have been the same. Nice catch though. I'll be more observant in the future.

I've made that same mistake with that same card several times in the past.  Especially when i was used to using Magma Spray -_- 

Haha yeah. In my mind I just kinda considered it to be a shock and didn't even look at the card type.
