Eh, I started this thread so I declare we can talk about anything.
I rarely find myself amused by a recitation of Poe, but Vincent Price made me smirk when he voiced it at the beginning of "The Raven," the old 50s movie.
That was just me expressing my love of Poe's poetry. 😁
Perhaps I should give it a second try. I have the respect for Tolkien to give it a go.
I'm a bit of a Lego fanatic, and was super excited when I heard they were doing the LotR and Hobbit, but man have they gotten weird. Sets don't always make sense. But they do have some great LotR sets.
I'll probably re-read The Hobbit before the movie releases. It so good.
The Hobbit is the first book I ever read and it is still one of my favs. My wife actually read that out loud to our kids each night before they could read......it was pretty cool.
I'm inspired now to do the same should I have children. Who needs the cheap tripe they put out for kids these days?
My 2 y/o nephew hasn't cracked the spine of a children's book but he can pull a Stephen King, Dean Koontz, or John Grisham off the shelf by himself. (Grandpa's books)
Sweet. well returning to the original topic, I'm going to make the start of my dreamed up Discworld set tonight, and I'll try to post a few favorites on Saturday or Sunday. Even if you guys aren't familiar with the characters yet, it should still be fun.

I'm totally familiar with the magic of Discworld! Mort is my fav book. I find Death just hilarious! Glad to see another fan. Have you heard anything about more graphic novels? I have The Color of Magic, it's fantastic to see the world illustrated, but don't know of any other ones
