I am making a blue deck and need some card advantage, but AR is way to expensive for me, what would you do?

I always liked  Brainstorm  Or if your heavy mana  Braingeyser  But really depends on format. There is also one form time spiral  Ancestral Vision

I think the best way to get card advantage is to use cards that both draw, AND do something, aka cantrips. Often not too expensive (mana-wise) and replace themselves in your hand.
remand is a nice example, or gitaxian probe
Or things that make you set up what you draw.
Preordain for example, or interpret the signs if you have the mana.
Another nice one is think twice.

Treasure Cruise and Dig Through Time. As long as you're filling your graveyard these are arguably the best draw spells.

One of the most fun probably are:
Stroke of Genius
Blue Sun's Zenith
Sphinx's Revelation

Yes I know they need a lot of mana to work, but with things like Teferi, Temporal Archmage, Turnabout, and even Twiddle, it's really easy to abuse and win the game by using Nykthos a bunch of times

Pssh, noobs. howling mine for dayz

go all the way man
Font of Mythos

Costs too much mana bro.

4 Dictate of Kruphix
4 Howling Mine
4 Font of Mythos
4 Consecrated Sphinx

DRAW ALL THE CARDS (each turn)
Might I suggest 4 laboratory maniacs to go with that?

Wait, if they have Sphinx, and you have notion thief, don't you just die?
Sphinx is a may. They may choose to not draw, so notion thief stops
But why would they stop when they can just kill you? And by doing so, that puts more Sphinx triggers on the stack that will resolve once you die, so they get to draw buttloads of cards.

As for the best card draw spells, I'd argue the top three are:

1. Ancestral Recall. No explanation needed.

2. Brainstorm + fetch lands. On its own, Brainstorm can be very mediocre. But once you add fetches into the mix, you can draw three, put two cards on top that you never want to see again, and then fetch to shuffle them away. It's really close to Ancestral. It also has the utility of hiding cards from spells that reveal your hand, and it can dig you into a desperately needed answer at instant speed. There's a reason the card is so widely played in Legacy.

3. Treasure Cruise. The sorcery speed and high graveyard commitment make this a little less universally awesome as the previous two, but it's still bonkers. In competitive decks, you play lots of cheap spells and fetches, filling your yard so you can cast Treasure Cruise super early to refill on lots of cheap spells and fetches to fuel future Cruises. There is quite a bit of overlap with Dig Through Time, since Dig gets better card quality at instant speed, but Cruise provided very aggressive decks with a way to trivially refuel and last into the midgame. It was way too strong. Hell, burn splashed blue just to run Cruise.
