Yes human brain is capable of ignoring the year part of the date if given limited time resources. This is common trait among our species.

I know that one only too well.. It can really mess with perception.

Everybody works this same way, if you do not take enough time to focus on a scene, brain will add the missing bits which clearly had no time to pass along the optical nerve from eye to brain, by filling the missing bits according to current state of the brain's neural network to provide complete illusion of reality for the consciousness.

Or as the polish saying / proverb goes: "when you are in a hurry, the Devil smiles".

if I remember correctly, the eye to brain function is almost instantaneous. The reason why you fill out the missing bits is because our brains can only process so much so it takes shortcuts in order to absorb the most information possible. It references past knowledge so seeing some kids playing with a beach ball isn't detailed but the action is sort of "fluffed out". Our brain knows what a pair of kids playing with a beach ball is, it doesn't care about the shirt they were wearing or the length of their hair, so it just omit's it. Our brains love to take the easiest route possible... Like a kid who frequently forgets to study for a test so he became a master of winging it.  There's a specific name for that selective information gathering while omitting the rest.... but I don't remember, it's been a while. I've always loved reading about brains as a kid and stuff like that.

Information transfer is limited by speed of light, unless you can disprove General Theory of Relativity. In the particular example we are discussing, the bottleneck is the wire between the eye and the brain, not the brain as you are saying.

Given limited data, brain will still construct full illusion of reality for consciousness, and for the purposes of self preservation it will fill the missing bits with the best information it thinks it has, typically the freshest but the exact algorithm is not yet clear to me. This is all already proven by modern neuroscience, I was following this particular research area for the last 30 years and can tell you much more about it if you are interested.

BTW, the kid newer forgot to study, it was studying something much more important in the time it would waste for the homework ;]

I'm not sure if I appreciate your new Gravatar.

Speed of light is the ultimate limit of information propagation. It does link to the speed of K+ ion signals passed along the nerves. The number of biological cells is countable and is proven to be the bottleneck. The realisation led us to see the reality in different light ;]

The friendship is appreciated, but your new Gravatar is also misleading for other users and therefore is against iMtG Law.

You can quite easily calculate number of neurons per cubic meter. Speed of neuron is easily measurable too. Yes we are both right as the same concept applies to various coprocessors of the brain which seem to co-create the consciousness.

It will not if you do have your device set to update apps automatically.
Settings>iTunes and App Store>Automatic Downloads set Apps to Off

Piotr my ocd is freaking me out right now, in the deck builder is there a way in IMTG2 to organize the cards so all the 4 sets go with 4 sets and 2 sets go with 2 sets or are they stuck randomly in there???? Sorry to be weird about this but it's like freaking me out lol

For instance i want it to be like

4 plains
4 swamp
4 verdant catacombs
2 marsh flats

But instead it's like

4 plains
2 marsh flats
4 verdant catacombs
4 swamps

We used to be able to drag those up and down and on the app it isn't letting me do that lol
