I back up after every set I enter.  Both on Dropbox and iTunes.

Impressive!  👏  That must take up a lot of space. I only ever keep a playset of any given common/uncommon, unless they are high value. Any extras I donate to new players and friends.

Cracked the 15k mark.  Now I'm done all the way back past Mirrodin block (and I don't mean Scars of Mirrodin, either.  )

Now it's going to be tougher because the rest of my cards are a mish-mash of everything prior.  And special sets, like Duel deck etc.  Harder to enter.

Well, I decided to organize my pre-Mirrodin cards by set as well. Turns out I had a lot of Onslaught and Odyssey block. Who knew? 😏

Update:  Completed entering collection back to Torment. Now sitting at around 17400 cards.

How would you go about sorting a collection? I want a library card catalog but those things are $600. I have been willing to pay someone but nobody has wanted too yet.

I've never even heard of a $600 card catalog. There is a discussion under General about Card Organization, if you wanted suggestions on how to organize. For me it was a matter of putting the time in.
