Hehe 1000 words in more than month.... mhmm I guess noone can say that he/ she is lack of time... It is like to write about 30 words per day...

I am a good writer and all but have a lot of stuff going on.

Awesome. I hope to spend much more time composing and writing the Deck and story.
I again assume you don't have to physically have the cards.

He was more questioning if standard deck that would not survive in modern environment would be accepted to the contest... Because in rules is condition that it must be competitive within the format...

I think I'll try... I'm not that great of a write (due to unfinished grammar Ed.) but I'm fairly good at book reports.

When we use the planewalkers names in the stories, do we have to put what it on the card precisely?

No you can use only the root name of the planeswalker...
