This weakened, i had to move a desk because an area of my house likes to flood Slightly) and i didn't want the bottom of the legs of the desk to get ruined. now yesterday, i looked under the desk and found a web with a lot of baby spiders, and a mother spider. killing them is not an option. so what I'm wanting to know is, how do i get them outside without killing them and what kind of spider is it?

the spider looks like a daddy long legs, but it's abdomen is too big. it's legs are also too short and thick. it's legs are amber brown, and it's body is tan brown. again, no matter what it is, killing it is NOT an option

It's not a brown recluse, is it??

If it is, you're going to have a horrible time leaving them all alive.

This. Google "brown recluse bite" and maybe you'll think twice about not wanting to kill them. It sounds like that's what they are. If you live near a heavily wooded area, then im 90% positive thats what they are just based off of your description.

Aside from killing them, a slightly more brazen option is to get a hand vacuum (Dirt Devil, for example) and sucking them up and dumping the bag outside.

This. Google "brown recluse bite"

My advice, avoid doing so while eating like I was.  I've seen those pictures before, but it still grosses me out lol

Missouri...I traded with you...

let me make this clear. I will not kill these poor creatures, no matter what they are. They are living things, and if i have to move the desk outside and let it get ruined from the rain i will. I am against killing anything except for food, and nothing anyone says will ever change my mind

Sounds like a brown recluse, especially if you're in the Ozarks. If you want to leave it alive, then you'd best just leave it be.

Well then be safe with em, especially if they are brown recluse

Brown Recluse spider's non-aggressive, but, if that is what they are, be careful.  Basically all bites have been from a spider feeling threatened and defending itself.  If you've got an entire nest of them, that mother is sure as hell going to be defensive.

If you absolutely have to leave them alive, just be careful where you place your hands on the desk.  May be worth it to wear some kind of thick gloves while moving it in case she does attack.  Make sure to inspect your clothing thoroughly before you put it on.  The babies will move out and your house will be the first place many of them go.  From what I've gathered, they'll go to dark places and camp out there.  A sweatshirt or something you threw on the ground would prove to be a good spot for them to chill out.  Then you put that sweatshirt on and they're whole world is being shaken and rolled and suddenly, there's your arm and they bite thinking they're in danger.

Granted, if it's not a brown recluse, then it is probably just a common house spider and there's nothing to really fear.  May want to make sure that is what it is.

I'm kinda like you in the sense that I don't kill anything that isn't a mosquito or an earwig, but in this case, I'd kill the spiders.  If the eggs have all already hatched, they're going to be everywhere.  While spiders are beneficial to keep around, they can still be a danger.  Just something to keep in mind.

I almos had a heart attack when we scared a momma spider, unleashing hundreds of unseen babies acros our back porch. Since that day it has been my mission to eliminate them
