That is what I ended up doing. I have really bad luck at pulling cards, so I am not surprised. I know one thing. I will not be buying much of DGM. That set sucks so hard in the value department.
Yeah it does! This whole block does, basically. Barring a few cards from RTR, that is.
^ Pretty much this. They hyped the crap out this set, block, and the prerelease maze event. Want to know what players have to show for it? A foil plains, a jank mythic, and a few dice. Seriously hope they do better in Theros. I feel they dropped the ball hard with this set.
Besides deathrite and potentially voice of resurgence, idt any of those cards are worth much of anything in the end(except maybe in reanimator with aurelia and obzedat ghost council, who knows)
Obzedat's aide is going nowhere imo... It hit all permanents yet it takes 5 turns. There are so many 1-3CMC reanimators, by the time you can play the aide you could have ended the game.
But aid can hit omniscience on turn five or Enter the Infinite ; puts it directly into play . Once unburial rites goes away its going to skyrocket. Oh and don't forget about Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker!
And out of all of those you listed, how many will retain their value? The answer is almost none. Again, this block (specifically DGM) is weak in value.
Once rotation happens, how much of this will still be valuable? If nothing super awesome is printed in theros, m14, so on, then Deathrote Shaman and Abrupt Decay are the only two I can think of off the top of my head. I think Obzedat's Aid could find a niche somewhere, bit I dont see how playable it is in other formats. Sure you can reanimate Omnisicience, but several turns earlier, you could have Exhumed a Griselbrand or Goryo's Vengeanced an Emrakul, the Aeons Torn.

I agree with everything except the reanimation of emrakul. He cannot hit the GY, his last effect shuffles him back into the deck. However your point is valid and agreed with.
Deathrite Shaman is one of the most versatile 1-drops ever printed. I can definitely see him rising in value in a few years. Abrupt Decay is also seeing a ton of play in other formats. The rest of the block is a little meh when it comes to value retention though. Nothing else really comes to mind to be honest.

Sorry, but this is where you are wrong. Goryo's Vengeance is an instant. Emrakul's ability goes on the stack when it hits the GY. Since the ability is on the stack and he is present in the GY at that time, you can respond with the instant before it gets shuffled back into your deck. Thus reanimating Emrakul as a valid target for the spell (The other cards in your GY still get shuffled in). The only reason this is not played in Modern more is it is very glass cannon like. It is easy to disrupt and is actually hard to pull off with all of the potential GY hate.
