Old School Deck: please post comments and suggestions. This deck is geared towards equipment and low cost high powered creatures with control so I can cast my Elder Dragon when the time comes.

Looks really solid, but if you want to truly play it old school, I'd put in an ashes to ashes. The card was mediocre in every format but EDH where 5 life isn't that hard a hit and it exiles 2 creatures simultaneously. Always liked it. VERY . Good build.

Edit: also snapcaster Mage I know it's not old but its just sooo good. Even with the above...

I totally forgot Ashes. I love that card and play it in most of my Black decks. Thanks! I thought about trying to work Snappy in but not sure how much I will use him.

If you're gearing towards equipment, how about a Puresteel Paladin? He can really help get your equipment around, and is a pretty solid guy at 2/2 for 2 with added card draw. Also, I know you're trying to keep the creatures lower costed, but if you can fit in a Sphinx of Steel Wind, he's a tank!

Edit: Forgot about Indomitable Archangel and Dispatch for protection and removal!

I did consider  Puresteel Paladin and will probably have to work him in.

The most difficult thing is finding what is worth removing.
