I've got a question. Why is Tarmogoyf so bloody expensive?
On turn 2 it can be a 3/4 or 4/5 creature very easily. And only can get stronger.
Also came out in future sight and everybody thought he was a joke back then. More ended up in store hands than consumers. Also the player base has grown exponentially, since it's first printing.

On top of that wizards caught wind of him being over powered and cut production early meanig there are less of him than normal.
1) they printed to much RtR. You can't print enough cards for everyone who wants them, then expect it to be worth money.
2) He's only really in 1 deck type. Creatureless control decks that run lots of Supreme Verdict and Terminus.
3) He can't be by himself, needs protection from Tamiyo, The Moon Sage or Chandra the Firebrand. The mini Fact of Fiction is nice, but it's at sorcery speed for 4 mana. Aggro decks and Thragtusk make him difficult to just "throw" into a deck that he isn't getting lots of help from.
mizzuim mortars provided a more reliable red feild burn but not as good, since it doesn't deal player damage, killing half of Bon fire's use. And mizzuim provided a cheaper $$ solution.

Nobody has mentioned Bonfire of the Damned and how much it has gone down.

I have a feeling mizzuim mortars are gonna skyrocket once gatecrash comes out
