3-2 With Jeskai Combo. Only real trouble was Mardu Aggro, which also won the night.

This is probably a dead thread but hopefully I can spark some interest in it. I was playing UW heroic. My results:

Round 1: Playing against the only deck that beat me last week, chromantiflayer but it's main plan is be the sidisi value deck and if things go late you have chromantiflayer to fall back on. Game 1 I was able to get right out of the gates with a hoplite T1 and then get to the point where it's a 5/6 unblockable threatening to kill him while I have a gods willing back up plan in my hand. I was able to snag victory game 1. Game 2 I mulled to 6. My first threat was a battle wise hoplite. There was some solid back and forth but it eventually came to the point where it's a 10/10 flyer, and he drops a crux of fate. I untap and deploy a seeker of the way and do a quick pass back to him. He almost had it when he tried to cast chromanticore (not soulflayed) but I was ready with a disdainful stroke. I sealed the deal a few turns later. 2-0

Round 2: Playing against Esper heroic. Actually I'm not even sure it was heroic. It was esper aggro with some random pump spells and heroic creatures. Game 1 He gained absurd amounts of life but I was able to just stabilize with a threat and keep protecting it. I was just beating in every turn and when he drew possible creatures to kill me with he kept blocking so he wouldn't take 5-6 damage. Just resulted in beat down, I had more protection than he had removal. I was able to win game 1. Game 2 was the WORST game I played all night it dragged on for about 30 minutes, when he could've won if he put his auras on seeker of the way instead of Bloodsoaked champion. Sadly for him, he didn't. I was able to get down to about 5 life, and he was presenting lethal. He decides to swing all out, and I drop a few combat tricks so he loses all 3 of his guys and I lose one. I untap and cast an ordeal of Heliod, I started bashing in with him and got back in the game. It was a really close game but I was able to win it. 2-0

Round 3 I'm paired against dimiroverlord playing GB constellation. Game 1 I had hand the was able to go wide and just started bashing in with 3 battlewise hoplites and a favored hoplite. I got game 1. Games 2 and 3 consisted of me having my hand thoughtseized away, and all of my threats being killed. Lost 1-2

Round 4 I'm up against jeskai tokens. Game 1 I'm still sad about, he was on 2 lands the entire time and couldn't do anything noteworthy. I sealed the deal playing solitaire. I think I was more mad than he was that that happened. Game 2 was really long but there was a lot of back and forth but I thought I had him dead on board when he drops an end hostilities. Post combat he casts hordeling outburst and I'm on a 3 turn clock. Couldn't get what I needed to win and lost to goblin tokens. Game 3 was awesome. I came out of the gates with a hoplite turn 1, into t2 defiant strike leaving up gods willing attack for 3. Untap deploy an ordeal of thassa and attack for 4 still holding up protection. He was able to stoke it and the wildslash it to kill it but gods willing was there, he was ready with a negate but didn't see that it put a heroic trigger on the stack, which saved my hoplite. He untapped and tappedout for a few different token makers and elected not to swing, trying to make me not want to swing into his wall of dudes. Fearing my hoplite would die. I had an aqueous form I had been waiting to use for a while and just deployed that. He untaps, goes to combat, attacks me and post combat drops end hostilities. This time I was ready with an ajani's presence. I untapped swung in and put him at ~3 life. He did the thing where if you have an out it's on top of your deck so you flip it and he windmill slams a flooded strand and scoops it up. I won it 2-1

Top 8 was next but I had to leave, I was 3rd going into top 8, luckily for me dimiroverlord was in top 8 too and paired against me. Worst case scenario ONE of us would win and make 4th at the worst so I just conceded and we agreed to split the 4th place prize which was 4 packs, 2 apiece. Final record, 3-1

Did anyone see any fun decks now that DTK is legal?

Well first time at an FNM since RTR first came out; I went 1 and 3. I ran an Esper Dragon control deck and I am fairly happy with how it preformed. I'm going to tweak it a bit as far as what's main board and what's in the sideboard, but really all the matchups I had I felt as if I could've won.

The hardest matchup was against a 4c whip deck which snowballed out of control when my Utter End was negated while targeting his Death mist Raptor.

I made a few errors over the course of the night, but I look forward to playing again :D

How do I battle people

It's quite simple. You walk up to them and say something horrible about their mother, then you prepare for battle.

Stop them in your sights, open with a sweet one-liner, and toss a pokéball.
