I have a few questions about Enchantments and exile that, after my last draft, I would rather ask the forum then my local shop about it
1. Would exiling a creature destroy any Enchantments on it?

2. Would rancor still go to your hand if the creature attached to it was bounced to your hand?

My last draft a guy put lifelink on a creature that already had it then asked the judge if it would give him double life. This guy has probably been playing about 10 years. The judge said it would work which made me lose the game but later said that it wouldn't.
So I come to you guys with these questions so I know the facts before someone try's to play shananigans on me and my friends :D

1.  Yes.  All auras attached would go to the gy.

2. Yes.  Once {Rancor} is on the battlefield, the only way to get rid of it is exile it.

1. Yes. If you exile or bounce anything enchanted, the enchantment goes to the gy unless otherwise stated.

2. Yes. If Rancor was in play before entering the gy, it goes to your hand. If Rancor is discarded or countered, then no.

3. No. Enchanting a creature with lifelink that already has lifelink will NOT give it double life. It would be redundant. Same with enchanting a creature with first strike that already has first strike doesn't give it double strike or two first strike hits.

Cool thanks guys l thought it was kinda silly that they've been playing this long and the judge has been judging as long as he has that they would have known the rules by now

People make mistakes, but boy does it ever bug me when judges make stupid ones. 😓

Phat Max

Whoa whoa... A judge thought double lifelink existed?

I don't even...

Fishsticks123

Why would a judge believe in double lifelink? 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
There's no such thing.

Huh, that is one thing I never knew.

The more you know!

Well.... not with the keyword, no.  But, in times with the exact wording ({Armadillo Cloak}, {Sunhome Enforcer} for example) you will gain double the life.  I would still expect a judge to know the difference.

Jroch314

So the next obvious question is if you were to put an {armadillo cloak} on a creature that already has lifelink would you gain double life?

Yes.  Same with two Cloaks.  But two {Lifelink}s or one {Lifelink} on a creature with lifelink won't give you double the life.
