WhY does {far seek} not find forest?
"far" seek.  You are seeking out lands that are far from your own.  If a green card searched out a forest, shouldn't it be called near seek???  Lol or {rampant growth} :)
I agree- it's for the flavor of the card. :)
Green mana to cast, and the "far" seeks out the other color.

Just for kicks, let's hope they do print a card called {Nearseek} (I'm even putting curly brackets around it so in the future, someone may stumble onto this).

... that makes no sense. they wouldn't print a clearly inferior rampant growth.

they wouldn't???  They make cards that are inferior all the time.  Every dual land that theyve printed since the originals has been inferior.

True, but I do think that the return of {Far Seek}, especially in a core set, is heralding the coming of basic-land-type dualies.

I sure hope so.  I cant hardly get anybody to trade shock lands to me. :)

I'm about 90% positive they are coming back.
