Why do you think that deserves a spot? It seems slow and he has enough unblockables.

Yeah the unblockables I have in are enough for me with the blade. I'm just worried about the well rounded-ness

Also, should I sideboard the crypt? I thought it would be nice just in case they have a way to bring back stuff from the grave

And why not {Grafdigger's Cage} instead of the crypt in your sideboard. (Yes I'm saying sideboard)

I don't want to do the sword because I'm trying to make this deck for when all my other stuff rotates out in Oct... And the cage would prevent me from playing my cards with flashback, yes? That illusion I was thinking about putting in instead of the mindcrushers just because the mindcrushers are kind of expensive mana cost.

{Jace's Phantasm} definitely should go in here... I would place it in over mindcrusher.

Reason being that by the time you can cast mindcrusher, you should have either won or lost, regardless. My friend has a modern mill deck and it's do or die versus him :)

EDIT: 4 {Trepanation Blade}s is probably too many. You'll be sinking more mana on double {Mind Sculpt} etc rather than equipping. I guess I'm not sure what the plan is: is it mill or life kill?

Well I was kind of thinking a combo of both mainly because it could potentially distract them from either the mill or life. Using the unblockables as a front for damage control but being able to swing and mill with the blade I thought could be good if I can't seem to mill them down enough. This is the first time I'm attempting a mill deck so I'm worried about how quick it's gunna be

The idea of the phantom is definitely sounding better the more I think about it over the mindcrushers
