Perhaps we can get a refresher for all the noobies who don't know anything about return to ravnica and what we might expect to see?

Honestly , all I know is were getting another jace and that there are many gold cards in the set, anyone have predictions or thoughts?

Besides the shock lands getting a reprint (really likely to happen) I hope Bob({dark confidant}) gets a reprint. As well as {mortify} and {putrefy}. With {tormod's crypt} being reprinted I think the dredge mechanic is coming back. It is rumored Nissa might be in this block. As well as a couple new Planeswalkers.

Speaking of Dredge, how was that mechanic like? To play and to play against it. I left MtG after Kamigawa and started playing again in Mirrodin Beseiged, so I wasn't paying attention to the Type 2 (T2) meta of dredge. Always hear about it being a quick win, but I usually find that sounds about normal based on the access of cards for T1.5 and T1 formats.

Oh, if that Red/Blue Planeswalker from DotP 12, Ral Zarek I think it was, is not printed in the RtR set then something must be very wrong :/

If nissa comes back I would like to see her as a green black. As for jace I want to make another good jace, I wasn't happy with the memory adept.

Dredge wasn't a big deal in Standard at the time, it's when it started getting used and abused with {Bridge from Below}, {Narcomoeba}, {Dread Return}... Basically, Timespiral block broke Dredge.  XD

As for Ral being a PW, it's gotta be either him or Niv, there's no room for two {U}/{R} PW's.  He might make a Legendary creature though.  I'd like to see the {G}/{U} merfolk chick.  Simic needs some love.

I think its likely a Merfolk PW, such as Kiora, will get a printing soon. After all, we are getting a Merfolk lord in M13.

Thanks for the info regarding Dredge, BlackJester. Sounds like some of the graveyard themes from Innistrad may work with Dredge (may be wrong, perhaps there is little to no synergy at all).
