Thoughts on the deck and possibly sideboard entries. I'm thinking {Nihil Spellbomb} for sure.

Am I a fool if I don't add {Grave Titan}?

Might add {Phyrexian Obliterator} too, just because it's mono black.

{Phyrexian Obliterator} is a staple in any mono black deck......didnt you hear?  :). For sure add a 4 drop 5/5 trample that causes peeps to sac permanents.  I run two in my mono black vamp deck...... Just because he is not part of the tribe theme does not mean he does not belong.  I would suggest swapping out those cheesy {rotting fensnakes} but that is an argument for another thread lol that was a joke ;)

MacUser001

Yeah you're right. Sideboard ideas? That was my main reason for posting this same deck 5 other people have lol.

Also, I just added the one Fensnake as a joke towards a certain somebody lol. I hope they catch it.

The Obliterator is pretty much all upside in a monoB.  I can't see a reason not to add him.  Staying on theme is important, but not at the risk of leaving out solid cards.  Don't be a slave to your theme.

I don't think I'd call you a fool for not adding the Titan, but it is a powerhouse.  I would give up a {Vengeful Pharoh} slot for one.

I love the addition of Geth.  I didn't know he was a zombie, and I thought he only worked on artifacts.  Double fail for me.  ;_;  I think he'd do well in a U/B mill 'n zombie deck too!

I'm glad to see that you have renders AND snakes working in harmony.  ;)

edit:  yes, I got it.

{nim deathmantle}. I know some people don't want to keep four mana available but the +2+2 and intimidate is very handy especially when equipped on a grave titan

BlackJester

The only reason I might think twice about the Titan is the sucky feeling you'd get if you had to sac him to the {Call to the Grave}.  But, it wouldn't stop me, I'd think the odds are low.

Well, mana curve might be another reason, too.  But hey, I'm a casual multiplayer Johnny, what do I know about mana curves?   :-X

MacUser001

The Deathmantle idea isn't bad to make the Titan a Zombie.

Anyways, I replaced a Geth for a Titan so the mana curve remains unchanged.

Added some sideboard cards too.

The Deathmantle idea isn't bad to make the Titan a Zombie.

That's what I did in my zombie deck. 4{nim deathmantle} and 4{grave Titan}'s. Works out really well especially when {call to the grave is out}. I also love it when I have a {cemetery reaper} or 2 out cause that will make your Titan even bigger since it becomes a zombie when equipped with the deathmantle.

Well it's a decent card for a Zombie deck, but now that I've added the Obliterators it definitely isn't worth it now. Still 4 for a 5/5 with an awesome effect.

I'll definitely try the deck out and see if it needs it. But I currently only have one Grave Titan in it lol.

In a mono-black deck, it's hard to justify not putting the Oblit in the four-slot.  That is, if you have them.  :)

As for the snake, I wouldn't expect to see it in this deck.  Since you are running a little light on removal, the {Skinrender} makes more sense here. (See!  I'm not married to the snake.    ;))

Prophylaxis

Where's the {Victim of Night}?

Why no splash blue? It makes the deck 80% more fun.

MacUser001

You're very right. I'll see if I have any and add them.

As for adding blue, this is a Standard deck lol. Fun isn't necessarily the idea. I'm looking for something competitive.

Greg54js

To be honest I'd forget the victim of night and run doomblade because there are a lot of innistrad tribal decks running in standard and victim can't kill their creatures :(
