Yes I run staff of nin...but when it came out I wished it was a 4 drop like everyone else. (awww it's not broken! Boo we hate staff of nin!)

But also like staff of nin, I will run it. In fact, it might replace statf of nin. I do have somereservations though...for instance a mere {ghost quarter} can ruin my hopes and dreams. If they already have a quarter, why even cast it? (ease no nickel or pennie jokes ;)) mr nin can deal damage to opponent's creatures and ping, and keep plainswalkers at bay. I think 6 is a fine cost for it. With ramp you can cast it on turn 4-5. Not bad imo and there will be less artifact hate post rotation. Me loves staff of nin. Gah this is turning into a staff of nin orgasm post!!! Damnit jester! I must...evaluate..the card...we are currently discussing...

I can see this card in a casual deck best though. I'm thinking garruk wildspeaker, arbor elf, sword of feast and famine, etc. Pretty solid when you have synergy.

If they hit your land with a quarter, they are spending a land drop to take out one card. The land gets replaced (possibly even color fixing for you). You aren't going to enchant your {Kessig Wolf Run} with it, are you?

So they gain no card advantage and fall behind in land drops.

If you cast it on T4 and use it immediately, it has already replaced itself it terms of card advantage.

It's making it so hard to choose between selesnya and golgari. Populate keeps getting great cards but the rarity makes it hard to choose it. Golgari seems like a safer choice.
