The ones most involved in the discussion will most likely be the Mafia because it is more interesting to be part of it and lead people astray. Some Mafia veterans will always post but the newbies somewhat detatched will not be as excited and tied to the thread as possible. That being said I don't think Coffee has played before so my theory is he has ties to the Mafia. This is not my final vote, but I'd like to see what the other members of the town have to say.

You are kind of right. I haven't played here on the internet before, but I have in real life (you may recall my post in this thread about how I always save myself as the doctor).

As to your theory, I say that you are making a sweeping generalization. Whether I got a mafia role or another role, or am a townsperson, I love to act and will get very involved no matter which role I play.

May I ask, what led you to believe I had never played before? Sure I am no veteran...I just played it a few times on campouts in real life.

What you are saying seems to me like what CbStrad said: the loudest one is the mafia/the more involved is the mafia/....sort of the "smelt it, dealt it" idea. Just remember that while this is true sometimes, it is simply not enough.

I remembered that Gorzo and Proph played before JaCe is 6 years old so he would be posting more and you were the only one in the thread that seemed to fit the details. Your reply was a little nondefensive though so I am still thinking you are part of it.

To CbStrad:

Correct. But keep in mind that what was said is more important than how much was said.
---
I urge all townsfolk to think about my theory:

1) the mafia don't want to be found out because...
2) the mafia does not want to die.

Given these obvious facts, we can conclude that:

3) the mafia will remain silent as to not arouse suspicion, until...
4) the mafia must defend themselves because someone accused them.

Why? Because of 1 and 2 (the mafia do not want to be found out and the mafia do not want to die).

CbStrad fits all of these points: he was hidden until accused and only now speaks up to defend himself. The most common way of defending one's self is to throw the attention to someone else. Most likely the person who talks the most, because it is somethig that everyone can agree on (but not something that should necesarily warrent suspicion).

Coffee Vampire

Yes but you remained silent until accused, which is my whole point. You made no attempt to find the mafia until someone said you are one of them. All you have done is accuse, accuse, accuse!

But I do not base my suspicion of you just on the fact that you voted for me just after swithing your vote. Here is the evidence:
---
- You accused someone early on, with no reason.
- You then changed your vote along with three other people at the same time. This is something only the mafia could coordinate.
- Whenever you are accused, you push someone else in front of you, but never do you suggest that it is one of the 3 people that simaltaniously agreed to vote for me. In fact, they seem to have your back!

Very suspecious.

Well put!! There is still suspicion in my mind of ntheawesome, simply because he has hardly showed himself here at all, but also hasn't been accused, so what happens if he is?

Coffee Vampire

Well if my theory is true, then he is also a mafia. But if we wish to end the mafia as soon as possible, we should all vote for one at a time or innocents will get lynched. This is because the 3 mafia will most likely all vote for one person, making that person seem like a popular choice, hence drawing votes away from them at the same time as gaining a few people to go with their choice.

This time, though, they made their move too fast. I believe that if more people vote for CbStrad, there will be one less mafia to worry about when the night comes.

Hopefully it's true, I might also ask why no one has questioned proph? Because he seems do intent on finding the mafia? Even making his strategies to do so, and his evaluations of it public for everyone? This could be one of the best mafia members out there! He could be employing strategy! I would like to see a counter argument to this! My vote is unchanged - CbStrad

(trust me, if I could have been on more, I would have. Work sucks sometimes XD Just sayin')
Aaaanyway... Back in character now
Notice how I'm the only one giving more than "Just 'cause" for my current vote. If the Mafia acts in apparent randomness like you say, I should have changed my vote again, yes?

Hmm, I hate to be one of those people who just says "re read my posts." as a response to stuff, but seriously...re read my posts! You are not the only person who gives reasons for accusations. You think every one of my posts are just different ways to say "just cause"? You are the one who voted for me because I talk a lot (and also likely because the other 2 mafia want me dead).

And as for your question...ah. A desperate sign. Asking other people what they think you would do if you were the mafia. Only a mafia would ask something like that!

Retract my vote. Vote CV

sorry CV. you just seem way to suspicious to me.

and Gorzo. i no hide in shadows. just....dont...drink.... my coffee....

Coffee Vampire

After all the evidence I gave and after all the ...nothig everyone else gave. Oh well, if the town didn't lynch me, the mafia would have killed me in the night, anyways.

*sigh* when does the day end, anyways? :p

Milo109

Yeah I think I have to put a stop to this. Temporary time limit for the first day becuase there is no evidence. 24 hours, or a majority vote. If the time runs out and no one has a majority I'll call it a hung jury

I just did rants to get into the game! I want to build a character for myself; it makes the game more interesting.

And actually, CbStrad did say something. He has posted 3 times. Two of his posts vote for people to be lynched. The reasons? For his first suspect the reason he stated was:

Quote from: Prophylaxis on June 11, 2012, 01:39:49 AM
Quote from: Milo109 on June 10, 2012, 09:51:20 AM

In an attempt to get some discussion going, I want everyone to answer these questions:

1. Why are these two people being considered to lynch? They haven't really said anything scummy.
2. Why are you voting for one of these two people?

Because random XD

Because random? Okay. And the reason he voted for me?

I would like to retract my vote and vote for coffee because he seems to be manipulating everyone away from Darkarts and beleren and that makes me suspicious of the three

Agreed. That much drama is a tad suspect. Retracting my vote and voting for Coffee

...because I try to bring drama into the game. Notice he is agreeing with sagemaster, who retracted his vote and voted for me at the same time as Cbstrad.

So actually, CbStrad did say things, and I did not contradict myself. Nothing personal, but I would appreciate it if you did a little research before saying things like that.

No no no the point I was making was you didn't let him defend himself
