Ok just want to see what people think. Is he {snapcaster mage} going to get:

Banned

Limited to one per deck

Left alone

If your gonna make a long reply please start with one of the three choices above.

Restricted is unlikely....it's banned or nothing IMO.  I think they will ban him.  What else do they have to ban?  Delver maybe.  I mean they are obviously coming out with a ban list and snappy and delver are the obvious targets.  Who knows they may surprise us and ban something like {think twice}.

Left alone, I don't think he's necessarily the problem, just makes the problem more obvious lol

Left alone I hope.  I just got a play set of snaps.that'd suck if I couldn't play him in standard.

Banned (see: my previous on banned rumors in the Standard forum)

Edit: the summation of my argument, as written by me.

"{Snapcaster Mage} also "messes up" design too, for R&D. They tried hosing him 3 times ({Grafdigger's Cage}, {Cavern of Souls}, ???? I know there is another, drawing a blank). I don't know how long R&D wants to keep trying to marginalize him.

Still, Delvers power is gonna rotate out, and Snapcaster will still be rediculous going forward. He will make the next decks that splash blue, insane.

Delver minus Snapcaster (but with {Ponder}) isnt nearly as deadly as Snapcasters ability to flashback {vapor snag}, {mana leak}, {ponder}, {timely reenforcemenfs}, {midnight haunting}, so on and so forth.

M13 has a Snapcaster replacement (Archaeomancer), which is 4CMC, which is probably where it should be. A ban is nigh

Edit: and if you think about it, WotC is done selling Innistrad, Snapcaster doesn't rotate out for 1 year+, his power level is already FAR above the curve. At this point, they owe absolutely nothing to {Snapcaster Mage}. They sold all the boxes they could, and it's onto the next product (M13, RtR}"

And additionally, {Abundant Growth} allows green decks to splash blue, enough where {Snapcaster Mage} is viable. I feel like (with no evidence) they designed Avacyn Restored knowing {Snapcaster Mage} would receive the ax (which is why they included {Restoration Angel} And also, the blog post about why they designed {Cavern of Soul} was made, because Snappy and {Mana Leak}. Intrinsically a soft Counter like {Mana Leak} is kinda below the curve, and prior to {Snapcaster Mage} it wasn't even the preferred counter.

I pilot a traditional U/W Delver, and I often never flash {Mana Leak}. I use {Timely Reinforcements} or {Vapor Snag}.

If MtG is about building decks that play out the way you design them (making a 60 card deck), {Snapcaster Mage} enables all of you carefully crafted deck included. Death Gaara and theorists would agree with me, when you include 4 {Mana Leaks} into your deck, it's contingent upon you drawing that specific card. {Snapcaster} bypasses that, your 12 control cards become 24.
