Not cool man, not cool. Mono blue is the douchiest of colors to have your commander be.

We've likely seen the last of both of them. Paying life for mana = broken. And {Phantasmal Image} and his ability to kill legendaries for UU. WotC is moving towards a more creature heavy format, I don't think they enjoy the UU trade if you put out {Avacyn, Angel of Hope}

Yeah you don't even have to run red for {Gut Shot}, which can kill someone else's mana dork or champion early while you advance yourself. And phantasmal image is 1U so yeah you just have to splash blue a tiny bit to include it...it is really good.
