If a {phantasmal image} copies a creature with hex proof can he then have equipment, or other spells target him by his owner without him popping?  I say no my play group says yes. Please tell me I'm right.
I had to edit this, I had wrong creature up at first. I had metamorph not image. Oops.

Kuberr

I don't think a creature can copy another with he proof because they would have to target said creature.

Imdowd80

It's metamorph doesn't target. So it can hit a hex proof creature.

The metamorph does not use the words "copy target creature" therefore it can copy a hexproof or even a shroud creature.  Remember that hexproof does not allow opponents to target it so yes you can equip your hexproof creature but not a shroud creature.

I don't think phrexian metamorp targets but you're asking about popping so I'm assuming you mean an illusion cause u didn't specify what type of creature and yes the owner can kill it by targeting it with anything hexproof means opponents can't target it

Whoops, didn't even read the card. Haha

In that case it would come in with the same abilities.

But it is suppose to pop when targeted with a spell. Does hexproof prevent the popping.   I don't see how it would, by my play group is insisting, and it cost me the game tonight.

{Phantasmal Image}? It "pops" if you were to target it with equipment . However, if you were using that card, it would be illegal to copy something with hexproof since it targets. :/

Edit: I realize this does not copy. 👌

Imdowd80

It doesn't target te creature just copies. Goes thru hexproof and shroud.

image doesn't target

Harmon1c

😁 My bad! Ignoring that part, the Image would have to be sacrificed if it was targeted by an attempted equip.

BadLuckIrish

So to clarify. Copy doesnt target so it bypasses hex and shroud. Equipment attach is an ability and targets or it will 'pop' images ans destroy {Ice Cage}s and the likes.
