Question on Miracle cards.

If I reveal a {temporal mastery} in my draw phase am I able to either use a) {dual casting} on a valid creature to double it or b) {reverberate} or similar.

Also if I cast the {temporal mastery} normally for full mana would I be able to use {chandra the firebrand} to essentially get 2 extra turns?

Thinking about also using {bonfire of the damned} ?

Any help appreciated :)

Poof

U can copy it but i don't think it'd do u any good card says take an extra turn after the one you are on that can only happen once right?  I think the way they worded it prevents it

Would work on {thunderous wrath} and {bonfire of the damned} ok though yeah?

{thunderous wrath} yes to my knowledge but for {bonfire of the damned}, the copied version would have X=0 so it would do nothing

Poof

The copied version would not be zero.  The copy spell copies the spell after it's been paid for whatever u paid for x will be copied just the same way

If you copy {Temporal Mastery}, you will get two extra turns.

CMC  of X is zero. Thats what u prob was thinking

It just says take an extra turn after this one so when u do it again it just throws another turn before free your current turn. So u actually take the second extra turn before the first.

this.

though if i'm not mistaken it still ends up that the original gave you the "second"
extra turn which you are taking first.

CMC of X is always zero anywhere except on the stack. Copying an X spell on the stack will also copy the chosen value of X.

I may be mistaken, but I don't think that you could enchant a creature with {Dual Casting} after drawing a miracle card and then cast the miracle card for its miracle cost. Enchantments are not instant speed so you can't respond to casting {Temporal Mastery} by enchanting a creature. If you drew the mastery and then enchanted a creature, you already missed the trigger to cast for miracle cost because you left your draw phase before casting it. {Reverberate} would work though, because it is instant speed and you don't need to enchant anything before using it. Now if the a creature was already enchanted with {Dual Casting}, then that would work too, because abilities are instant speed.

You don't have to play miracle as soon as you draw it. You have to reveal it to prove you drew it.

So you could draw for turn reveal temporal mastery, main phase plan dual casting then play temp mastery for miracle cost then copy it for another turn.

No.

BlackJester

If you want to cast a spell for its miracle cost, you MUST pay for and cast it as you draw it. If it goes into your hand (whether you revealed it or not) its too late.
