Does anyone know how sponsorship works in this world of competitive magic?

And the first major event we're going to is the Invitational Qualifier in Roanoke, VA on May 19th. Let's see if we can get this organized before then!

You shouldn't need to go to qualifier. FYI.
Just play in GP and get asked. It's a lot easier than qualifier.

Anyways, sponsorship in magic is basically that one or more orginizations help the one or group they are sponsoring by buying the cards, and equipment needed to go to the GP, Regionals, National, Worlds, ect.

In return you would wear clothing (most of the time) that represents whom you are sponsored by.  Every GP I've been to I've seen people put logos on their sleeves for more showing. Along with the clothes.
