It's your choice, but I wouldn't be impressed with someone giving me conditions for dating like that.  If you're expected to drop hobbies for your partner, what else is she going to have you do?  "No, I don't want you to hang out with that guy anymore." "I think you should wear this sweater." "Join the military or I'll leave you."

If you consider Magic as a part of who you are (I know I do), then she should be willing to accept you for who you are, not ask you to change.  Does she want to spend every waking minute with you?

FWIW, it's never even been a negotiable for me.  I play Magic, deal with it.

In related news, I feel lucky, my tough chick/badass gf took to most of my favorite hobbies, even buying herself a .9mm version of my .45 to shoot with me, she is learning magic in three days after she finishes her finals for her second degree.
