I have an old bant heroic deck back when standard was theros-DTK. I loved playing it back then and was wondering if maybe I could revive it as some kind of heroic deck in modern. I am not hoping to make a grade A deck, I know it will never be at that level. My goal is to make it at leasts able to surprise people at my LGS.

I just threw together an Azorious heroic deck for casual and I'm loving it. I can throw together a modern list, I've been thinking about it anyways. It has very explosive starts with the ability to protect big threats. It has potential. Not too tier but very good.

Sure. I was using bant in standard mostly to get {solidarity of Heroes} and {harden scales} for better growth and burst. Plus some hexproof spells in the side for heavy removal decks.

There was a list being ran on MTGO for a few weeks that was just flat out winning a lot. I think they had an article on it on Against The Odds

Only heroic deck I found on against the odds was more of a combo deck built around sage of hours. I did find a naya heroic deck they talked about on mtg goldfish one was a deck tech the other an analyst.

I do think this this was a very poor deck and I am not surprised with the verdict. I could tell it was gonna be bad just from the deck list. 12 creatures and only 6 spells that protect your creatures? No heroic deck can be consistent with those numbers.

I think I am gonna take a look at my old heroic deck and then at some of common buffs used in modern like {rancor} and {vines of vaswood}.
I'll proabaly be posting an experimental deck list in the next day or two and would love suggestions on it. If anyone has any good buff suggestions do let me know as I am new to modern.

There ya go, goldfish. My mistake! And must've been thinkin of another deck that was winning because after reading the article it seems like that list hasn't been. Lol
