{Burning sands} + {leyline of the void}
What happens?

Prplprince

If I'm reading the oracles right. A creature will die, Sands will trigger putting its ability on the stack and then leyline with replace the location to exile. So end result dead creature, saced land, dead creature in exile

Edit: "whenever a creature is put into a graveyard" is a fancy way to say die which is what the oracles have "changed" then too

redwolv

I actually found a rule long that says leyline makes it so death triggers never happen

Mr_Fahrenheit

Yeah the definition of 'die' is 'be put into the graveyard from the battlefield'. If the creature never hits the graveyard then it never actually dies.

Co2

Remplacment effect are always annoying.
But llama is right. The creature will never hit the graveyard. So no land shall be sac'ed.
In this case i would like to add : unless you control the creature.

We assume you control both
{Burning sands} + {leyline of the void}

Because things will be different il leyline was controlled by your opponent

Yes, I owned both, it was my {mogis, the God of slaughter} edh deck. After learning this I think I am gonna cut void from it. Breaks to many of my enchantments

Yeah, together they make quite a nasty nombo for yourself, as you'll be the only player affected.

Not only that but it ruins a lot of other effects like {black market}
