So I'm going to the helvault event at my local card shop on Saturday at three, and I was wondering what some main strategies I should have in mind because I mainly suck at sealed events. Thx!

I'm going too.  And I've been out of mtg for ever.  I'm excited.  Pretty sure I'm gonna get my @$$ handed to me.

First, look at the spoiler, get a comprehensive look at everything that could work together, then just see what you actually get, going to be a lot of kill and burn so I'm thinking red black or red white, I feel that mono color in a draft is tough unless it's all you get

Good plan. I'm hoping to pull a vexing devil... And burn should be easy for me since it's my main deck style already.

You and everyone else, I would go through the commons mostly an start prepin based on them

Yeah, I remember last time I went to one of these I got killed with some sort of weenie with {cobbled wings} and a {silver inlaid dagger}... 

Yes keep an eye out for
Bounce
Unblockable
Undying
Flying
Removal
Burn
And good instants

I've always heard B.R.E.A.D.
Bombs - big fatties, game enders
Removal
Evasion - flying, unblockable
Abilities - useful abilities
Drawing

In that order.

Removal is huge in drafts and sealed. I'd aim for Aggro with removal.

Then again, I only draft/sealed events with 60-100 people at a time for a few months. So I probably don't know what I'm talking about.

Jake, Fart Sculptor

My shop averages 15-25 people for prerelease events, 10 of them are really skilled and it's pretty competitive. But the numbers are low, anyway I usually see what I get the most of, and go with that, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Nice, nice!

Prophylaxis

Look at sealed articles to get a feel of what to put in your deck.
