Why isn't precourser golem in there?

{Precursor Golem}

Great card, I would recommend him too, however, he can also be dangerous to a deck of Golems. If one gets {Doom Blade}d, {Day of Judgement} may as well have been cast. 😨

Without even a {Giant Growth}, putting in the precursor is more of a danger than a benefit. But the golem and {Cackling Counterpart}, hmmm. :o

I didn't like the percossor just cause of the possibility of a board wipe. The cackling counter part just let's me pump out more golems and is a saver. Say they doomblade my wingsplicer to push a vamp through. I just instant copy it and bam, more golems and still flying. It also has flashback. The. With parrell lives it just help push out more. Same with cyrptoplasm.

Do you guys like a 9/9 creature for 5 mana with somewhat trample?
They all act as one unit, so treat them as if one card, with vital splicer, you can regenerate all of them.

Don't forget that tokens aren't the only golems in Standard.  {Solemn Simulacrum} and {Platinum Emperion} also gain all of the benefits from being golems too.

I would add {Venser, the Sojourner} in there too.  Every turn you can "flicker" a splicer to give you more Golems.

As for {Precursor Golem}, sure someone could cast a {Doom Blade} and take out all of your golems, but at the time, you could save all of your golems with one {Stave Off}, {Ranger's Guile}, or {Withstand Death} can save your whole team.  Plus, if you play a cantrip lie {Tel-Jilad Defiance} or {Twisted Image} you get to draw a card for every golem on the battlefield.

And don't even get me started on {Precursor Golem} and {Hunter's Insight}.

Since your running green I would run the {Precursor Golem}, and to your dudes safe I'd also run {Ranger's Guile} and {Withstand Death}.

Back when {Rites of Replication} was in standard, many a game ended with me having 30+ golems... He is just waaaay too much fun not to use, most my shenanigan plays have already been posted :P
