Never said you said anything

Just saying they print stuff in commander that makes the deck worth purchasing that may not be printed again for a long time.

Think of hasbros MO: make money

Fetches at $35-$40 per

Commander 2014 had poor sale results, I would think they want commander 2015 to sell out hard. They can print as much as they like and they know consumers want fetchlands.

Mr_Fahrenheit

Saffron Olive did an article on mtggoldfish a while back explaining why this is not only not very likely to happen, but how Wizards would be stupid if they did do it like that. Ill try and find the article to link.

McAtoms

Great read and makes some great points.

The question is: will a fetches reprint actually cash out much of the equity that exists? Or just ensure a sellout of C15? Still leaving plenty in the bank for a reprint in the spring or fall 2016 sets...

Mr_Fahrenheit

The thing is, this is a set that will sell out anyway, and by including fetches it will only sell  out a little quicker, but none of its intended audience (current and potential commander players) will be able to get any because the speculators and profit-seekers and dealers and eternal players will snap them all up. It still might happen, just most (read: all) signs point to it not happening.

Yeah i didnt phrase that very well sorry. What im trying to say is that they arent slow sellers, and wizards doesnt need to inject ridiculous extra value into them for them to be good sellers. I didnt mean that literally every copy would be sold. Sorry for that misunderstanding.

MuggyWuggy

Mainly comparing to 2013 where 3 of the 5 were consistently sold out

Mr_Fahrenheit

That was a strange situation, because stores could only order those in lots of 5, so they had to get one of each every time they only wanted to order a mind seize deck. The guy who runs my lgs was frustrated as hell about that.

Mr_Fahrenheit

I was very late in jumping on the commander bandwagon. Probably gonna get one only because the main one im building is too far fron being complete and i want to be able to play without having to use my daretti deck

MuggyWuggy

Yeah it gets overwhelming. Then you wanna sell off all your decks :P

It becomes to much value spread around for the little use

Keeping 3 decks only

Mr_Fahrenheit

Yeah im gonna stick with 2 preconstructed decks plus 2 decks that I wanna build. Gonna try to leave it at that. Trying to limit the amount of tiny leaders decks too. I currently have 1 and plan to build 3 more. Trying my hardest to limit it to that cos i hardly ever play commander. Modern, legacy and pauper are my formats of choice.

I'm probably going to get the Izzet one just cause of the deck's basic frame. I'm going to fill up the rest of the slots with spells and what not.
