Question on storage

I've got a bit of a first-world problem. I have about 20 fat-pack cases in volume (fat-pack case filled front to back) of singles, common and uncommon. For the rares and value cards I've got a nice binder, however, up until now the bulk was just sitting in a box, somewhat assorted on color.
I want to change this. Get organized and protect the cards somewhat better, since my little girls are starting to get at everything too.

Here's my problem: anyone has an idea that does not involve buying 10 fat packs and put those in a container, or buying binders for that volume of cards?

They sell white cardboard boxes. Those work well and are pretty inexpensive.

Alternatively, if you wanted to make sometime instead of buy it, you could try what I did:

I found some shoeboxes that fit a little more than 3 cards across. I then cut slits 1/3 and 2/3s of the way along the short side, and put a piece of cardboard a little shorter than the height of a card but a little longer than the box through the slits. Taped down the ends, ended up with 3 rows for cards divided by pieces of cardboard, with a top that fits nicely. A little more work than buying white cardboard boxes, but that's what I did.

I found some shoeboxes that fit a little more than 3 cards across. I then cut slits 1/3 and 2/3s of the way along the short side, and put a piece of cardboard a little shorter than the height of a card but a little longer than the box through the slits. Taped down the ends, ended up with 3 rows for cards divided by pieces of cardboard, with a top that fits nicely. A little more work than buying white cardboard boxes, but that's what I did.

That sounds great. It's a bit like what I did for my decks, except I actually used my fat packs to create gauntlets in a cupboard.
The baseball card boxes are really nice too. Really gonna depend on time what I'll do, so much projects to do, and only 24 hrs in a day...

After putting them in there, I organized by cutting index cards to the width of an mtg card so the top sticks up over the cards and writing a label there. I organize by set, so it's useful, but if you wanted to do it by color for example you could just use separate boxes. It gets a little more complicated if you need to sort by multiple categories though.

Go to a gp and sell your bulk. $15 per 5k for garbage commons and uncommons, rares are worth more.

Could take a load to my lgs for a quote, but I'd rather hang on to them a bit. The collector side of me, and I'm always having these build projects pop up. Helps to have a supply.
As for selling at GP, sounds nice, but missed my chance for Utrecht. Next one somewhat within traveling distance is Brussels (November) and even then I'd need money for lodging, since even that is a 3 hour drive.
(and a standard deck to compete I notice now).
Limited is in Lyon, 9 hours away.

Long story short: doesn't look like GPs for me.

I so see this before me now. If only.... Usually I end up either disappointed with myself, or it just gets on the long term project list, which is growing outta control.

Wat I've found greatly fits cards well is a White Castle crave case box or a state fair frozen corn dog box(wholesale).... My brother is a stoner I get them in abundance lol
