If it's not a tournament I would at least let him know you are pre-boarding. It's a little underhanded to do that if you don't let him know, in my opinion. Or switch your mainboard to include that instead of other creature destruction. Even in casual games I make sure it's fine with my friends if I pre-board.

What guy above said i would consider good mtg etiquette that way if he knows I'm running tempered steel and lets me know he's pre sideboarding nothing but artifact hate making my deck utterly useless I can politely decline to play.

BlackJester

A little off topic, but why not just main deck the {Doom Blade}s regardless of who your playing? ???

Richardalcala

Thanks for your opinions. I am not trying to cheat that is not fun for me. That is why I am asking the question. Just don't want to get ran over again. This guy was making myr tapping them do do damage than pumping up the sphere. I don't want to main board {doom blade} cause I don't have alot of artifact at my FNM so I use {go do the throat}. Thanks guys.

I guess it's different in tournements then drafts because in drafts I change my deck from one player to another so I don't really se a problem with preside boarding

Poof

Yes in draft you do not have a mainboard you can even change up all your colors and go a different route between matches

Maximo

Yeah. I was in standard at my last FNM and casually mentioned I'd accidentally left a {Grafdigger's Cage} in from my sideboard and suddenly half the table was telling me that's illegal and counts as a loss. My opponent wasn't a dick about it and let me restart, but yeah. Not allowed and now I know.
