if my opponent has {The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale} In play, at the beginning of my upkeep, can I declare his trigger first before I trigger my {Ichorid} ?

603.3b: If multiple abilities have triggered since the last time a player received priority, each player, in APNAP order, puts triggered abilities he or she controls on the stack in any order he or she chooses. (See rule 101.4.) Then the game once again checks for and resolves state-based actions until none are performed, then abilities that triggered during this process go on the stack. This process repeats until no new state-based actions are performed and no abilities trigger. Then the appropriate player gets priority.

Since you are the active player, you will put the {ichirid} ability on the stack before the Tabernacle. Thus the Tabernacle will resolve before ichorid is on the field.

EDIT: just realized the tabernacle doesn't even trigger. It just gives creatures a static ability. The beginning of your upkeep already passed when ISO hits the field. You don't pay.

The creatures still have a triggered ability not a static one. It triggers "at the beginning" of upkeep. It's not static like a keyword.

True. The creatures get a triggered ability from the static ability of the tabernacle. Got mixed up there just when I realized it worked differently than I had in mind. The fact remains: the ability will not trigger for creatures that aren't there at beginning of upkeep. Say you flash a creature in @ upkeep, you don't pay {1}.
