Update of my favorite for the new set.

Taisgur and monastery siege have made me very excited.

Concept wise: with siege and him, I will filter through my decks faster for removl and win cons, in testing, my hand stayed full and dig was easily paid with delve, he also is a wall for siege rhino. He will allow me to bring back removal, counters or PWs constantly. 1 of only as I don't want to end up with 2 of him in my opening hand. I think he's a creature you wanna play for 1 Black and delve everything else, use his ability to get a card back from your GY. So turn 5+ for him.

Crux of fate replaces the expensive garruks wake and Garruk. This deck needed wipes. With ugin now a thing, I prefer to get to krakens and win that way. Krakens are fun and unbelievably oppressive.

Very excited for the exile spell also, but using that in my burn control deck. If I find I need more removal in this deck I will add it. Sultai charm is staying as enchantments artifacts and monocolored creatures are relevant.

Siege is awesome

But id like to try tasigur as a double.

Ashiok t3/4 owns UB control.

Crux is amazing.

BUG control is a thing (still)

Lost one match at MNM under close conditions. Tasigur is amazing, and with crux, I was able to ultimate kiora in 3 separate matches.

BUG control, try it and make people sad.

Moving ugin to main.

Gotta cut the siege. Tasigur as a double was too good in comparison.

Changed SB, screw the death dealers. Added ætherspouts, more bile blights

Why the big Garruk in the sideboard?

Incase a mirror match happens.

Gonna try a week without the maulers and double up siege to get to tasigur and ugin faster

Basicly running this on saturday. My shop is having a special tournament with first prize is a full set of standard planeswalkers. From theros through frf. I can't wait, I love this deck style.

Good luck! For Aggro, side out your maulers and side in all early removal! Bile blight and drown in sorrow ruin any token/Mardu decks. Don't let them have squat on the board :)

Any other tips, I am playing this tomorrow at noon. First prize is a full set of standard planeswalkers.

Pay attention to what you delve out, leAving wincons, downfalls and counters in your GY will make tasigurs ability amazing at the end of your opponents turn

Don't be afraid to wipe your board if it means they will lose ramp,  etc.... But make sure you're not depending on carytids either for mana fixing.

Count your fetching, sometimes I forget I have my 2 islands already in play so I can't fetch a 3rd.

If you see a threat being drawn next turn, ashiok it over making a siege rhino etc, count their rhinos and rocs, if you exile 3 rhinos , who cares about ashiok dying eventually.

And always with Aggro decks, side in all of your early wipes like bile blight, it destroys tokens and abzan Aggro and UW heroic.

UB control - get ashiok out and mill their 4 wincons - pearl lake x2, ugin, and pissibly ashiok, they lose that way.

Don't get greedy with sultai charm. I've found it best to let it be saved for a death or a late game draw rather than advancing my draws early (always wishing I didn't spend it for draws when a roc or brimaz drops)
