Okay, I don't want to provoke a "should the reserved list be broken" debate, we have already done that. What I want to do is have a constructive debate about this hypothetical: how would a Legacy Masters work? So here is how I want people to post:

How much would Legacy Masters have to cost per pack if they did a MM-esque or Vintage Masters-esque Legacy Masters so as to not screw people with Reserved List cards?
What cards would be reprinted?
What would you be willing to pay?

 {Force of Will}
Then I can complete my Legacy Folk

Well, I'm sure some things need reprints, but others don't. Its much harder to do Legacy Masters then Modern Masters, just because of the power level of some cards.

? Power level wouldn't matter, it would be a supplemental set. If you are talking about for limited, I'm sure they could balance it, just as they did with Vintage Masters.

/If/ they did a legacy masters, I would hope for: {Force of Will}, Dual lands, {Fireblast}, {Jace, the Mind Sculptor}, {Sensei's Divining Top}, {Deathrite Shaman}, {Spell Pierce} (love to get some foils), {Brainstorm}, and a bunch of obscure stuff like {Reset}. I think, if done right, I would be willing to pay $15-20 for a pack.

You better make those duals a new card type that is 1:15000 packs

People with their OG duals would be pissed if otherwise

Idk, if you had an MSRP of like $20 a pack, made the duals mythic, and did a limited print run, the prices of duals could easily go up, like many of the mythics and rares from MM

How did they do the Power 9 in Vintage Masters? On Gatherer, it has the Mythic symbol with Rays being projected off of it. It calls it Bonus.

P9 were given "Special" rarity
But how was their spread through packs? Just like normal mythics?

Also stoneforge

Dudecore

You must absolutely include the Original Duals. Outside of that...Legacy Masters will probably look like Modern Masters with {Force of Will}.

MuggyWuggy

I just feel if they reneg on their reprint policy, magic may have vintage items drop in price due to uncertainty of cards being reprinted. Nothing will be safe.

Just give people force of will and Stoneforge & batterskull or something else nice. Don't go back and reprint duals. Onslaught fetches were never put on the reserve list and look at how many people bit a financial bullet when they got reprinted

Not really, modern isn't legacy lite, nor should Modern Masters be Legacy Masters lite. Legacy Masters could print all sorts of interesting cards that MM couldn't such as {Stoneforge Mystic}, {Umezawa's Jitte}, REB, BEB, {Pyroblast}, {Hydroblast}, {Sensei's Divining Top}, {Dark Ritual}, {Brainstorm}, {Preordain}, all sorts of Goblin and Elf stuff, etc. The sets may share a few cards, but I think you could make the environment different very easily.

Not going to argue the reprint policy, this is purely hypothetical. If it helps, pretend the product is online, printed in gold border, or even just a cube I am slapping together.

What would the draft themes be? Like how MM had Suspend, Rebels, Goblins, etc., what would the themes be for a Legacy Masters?
