Often in blocks where there is evidence of an ability or mechanic being abused and broken after playtesting by the Wizards, they then release a hosing effect to answer the non stop use of it.
Take {Grafdigger's Cage} or {Sigarada, Host of Herons} as an example. Cards released in the second/third set to counter act the mass abuse of Zombie recursion in INN.

Do you think they'll bring out a card like "Players can't play spells without casting them" or "If a player plays a spell without paying its cost, [Name] deals X damage to that player"?
So in other words, think they'll make a counter Jeskai/Narset plan?

MuggyWuggy

I don't think jeskai is that crazy OP currently, now if we get another heavy burn spell, yes then very OP

I see a stronger counter coming out on the simic side of things. Plasm capture was straight ridiculous.

Spikepit

That is very true, actually! I guess they attempted that with {Soldier of the Pantheon} but he's a little 'meh', just a little.

MuggyWuggy

Probably something to answer flyers. {Horizon chimera} is our current wild card

Those damn rocs and stormbreaths need a hosing down

rarehuntertay

Doesn't  {Spirit of the Labyrinth} kinda hose  {Jeskai Ascendancy}... Can't loot? Doesn't that shut it down until they get rid of it?

MuggyWuggy

I think there are many answers, just they are hidden in the last block between BNG and jou

Spikepit

Absolutely! Keep 'em coming!

(This post is also a subtle hint to 'those' die hard Narset fans that she's not untouchable...)

rarehuntertay

Take that stupid  {Springleaf Drum} deck!!!

MuggyWuggy

Hmmm. Answer seems to be mono white
