So I was looking at my Italian {Thada Adel, acquisitor} today and wondering why I haven't seen any mono blue artifact decks with her as a commander. Any ideas on why they don't exist, or what should go in one if I make it?

It's too dependant on the opponent having good Artifacts in their deck. In EDH you don't want to be reliant on anyone but yourself

I'm thinking maybe a sort of flash deck with {unwinding clock} and lots of ramp. Oh and swords and all the obvious things (which I will forget so tell me anyway)

i think its maybe because {arcum dagson} and {muzzio, vissionary architect} exist.

Like, if you were only playing against tier 1 decks, you'd have a guaranteed Top and Sol Ring and some other mana rocks maybe some boots and sometimes a sword. But is the deck is not artifact focused or a more casual deck, good luck finding anything useful.

What about stuff that makes your creatures tap to deal damage to target creature or player? Then you could ping yourself and grab a sol ring

Sadly it's only combat damage.
