Spot on. 702.68a: Gravestorm is a triggered ability that functions on the stack. "Gravestorm" means "When you cast this spell, put a copy of it onto the stack for each permanent that was put into a graveyard from the battlefield this turn. If the spell has any targets, you may choose new targets for any of the copies."

If the ten cards were permanents what would happen then? And one was Emmy.

Since 10 permanents were put there during the turn I would get 10 triggers correct?

Permanents only exist on the battlefield.  Anywhere else, they're just cards.  Gravestorm cares about Permanents, not cards.

A permanent is only a permanent only while on the field. If sent from the deck to the graveyard, they are only cards, not permanents.
In your example, Emmy gets sent to grave and his ability triggers. Since  {Bitter Ordeal} is a sorcery, you cannot use it in response to Emmy's trigger. Emmy's ability will resolve and shuffle everything back into owners library.
