Imprint mechanic question

I have {duplicant} on te field and "creature guy A" is exiled beig imprinted on him. If I uses a blink effect on {duplicate} and exile "creature guy B" does A stay in exile just not imprinted on {duplicant}.

Creature guy A remains exiled, but is no longer connected in any way to Duplicant. It's just gone now.
