Defeat a god help

Is there anyway to play defeat a god with more than 4+ without getting destroyed by that deal 4 damage to each player card? Like is there an alternative rule to that card or something?

Just make it deal 2 damage...you're playing against yourself, make the rules whatever you want them to be. You're encouraged to build a deck specifically to take on Xenagos.
