Not at all Gary is not the finisher like he is in Std. He's very slow and he's a replacement finisher I guess he's a good late game top deck but you never want 2+ in your opening hand

I know!! He wants to so bad but sadly it's too expensive for now he's trying to trade for stuff like that. But he just got enough credit to finish this deck now (bc ghasts and Obliterators are high!!

 {Pack Rat} is absolutely good enough. Its starting to see modern play and has actually made its way into legacy a bit.

Lilliana's would be better than Gary.  If he can afford them, I'd say
-2 pack rat -2 whip (he said he didn't run them, so they aren't there anyways) +2 Lilly +2 Gary. 
Gary would normally be hitting for about 6. Twelve point life swings are cool.  And if you manage to hit for more, great!

If he can't afford them, -2 whip +2 Gary.

{dark confidant} is worth considering! but if he can't afford Lilly he can't afford bob. 

Ya bobs and Lilis (as of now) are not feasible. {Pack Rat} is not in his list but I was thinking with his recursion {Gravecrawler} and {Bloodghast} it'd be good

Edit: {Pit Fight}!?!?!?! I get that it psedo-combos with {Phyrexian Negator}, but it is really conditional. {Dismember} would be better.
