LinkCelestrial

This is my first attempt at a standard deck. As you can see all the cards are M15. There are two reasons. One I thought it was cool. Two, it won't rotate out for a long time. I'm more than open to suggestions to replace cards like {Bronze Sable} and {Hoarding Dragon}, even if they're not M15 (all suggestions can be whatever as long as it's standard).

The game plan is {Ensoul Artofact} on {Ornithopter} or {Darksteel Citadel} to swing a big nasty creature early. Midgame power comes from {Juggernaut} and {Hoarding Dragon} while {Shrapnel Blast} can finish an opponent quickly and semi-effectively.

{Wall of Frost} and {Polymorphs Jest} + {Circle of Flame} deal with defence. {Perilous Vault} board wipes if need be.

{Hoarding Dragon} can fetch things though I hate it cause it has keyword dies so I constantly get artifacts stuck in exile. (Like if {Hoarding Dragon} gets bounced for example).

Side boarding is {Lightning Strike} for either spot removal or game finishing.
{Soul of New Phyrexia} is anti-board wipe and attack power.
{Turn to Frog} and {Circle of Flame} for combo defence or attempting to kill {Hoarding Dragon}.

Turn one: Island, {Ornithopter}, {Ornithopter}.
Turn two: Mountain, {Ensoul Artifact} swing 5/5 flying.
Turn three: Mountain, {Ensoul Artifact} second {Ornithopter} swing 2x 5/5 flying.
Turn four: swing 2x 5/5 flying, {Shrapnel Blast} if needed for game.

That's a god hand for sure but the deck is still competitive without it. Any suggestions? Comments? Questions? Gonna try a similar build?

Hehe. {Circle of Flame} {Polymorphist's jest}

{scuttling doom engine} would be great in here

I'm a fan of keranos for this deck honestly.  {chariot of victory} also might be worth it, {armory of iroas} for boosted attackers.

All these I feel would be better suit then your staffs and sables.

Mana fixing is needed. {Shivan reef} is m15 and cheap

I don't think I own a {Shiva Reef} yet. Once I get them I'll put them in for sure. I stayed away from temples ect cause mana on turn two is key, so I don't want lands coming in tapped.

That was debatable, I'm not sure what I'd cut for it though and it's a little expensive mana wise as far as this deck is concerned. I'm personally thinking {Soul of New Phyrexia} is the better option. However {Scuttling Doom Engine} into {Shrapnel Blast} is delicious. Maybe cut {Hoarding Dragon} until I find a sac outlet?

The staffs were mostly filler and due to how much multiplayer I play. I'll probably cut staffs for {Armoury of Iroas} as if I get more than one out it's a great {Shrapnel Blast} target. As for Keranos I actually do own one. I'm not sure what I'd cut though as nailing 7 devotion is near impossible in this deck. Maybe as another staff replacement?

In other news I need an in colour sac outlet for {Hoarding Dragon} and/or {Scuttling Doom Engine}. The only thing that comes to mind is {Barrage of Expendables} but it's about to rotate out.

{Trading Post}. Also, if you only play 4 {Temple of Epiphany} you can probably play that T1 and a basic on T2.

{Generator Servant} helps with {Scuttling Doom Engine} if you're interested.

{Trading Post} is about to rotate out. Sadly, I love that card so much.

I currently own two {Temple of Epiphany} so I might as well run both.

Maybe cut all four {Bronze Sable}s for {Generator Servant}s? I liked having the sables as backup for {Ensoul Artifact} and {Shrapnel Blast} but the {Generator Servants} probably fits better. I'll dig around and try it that way. Thanks man.

Keranos is not for a creature, he's for either card advantage or throwing lightning bolts every turn.

You have to replace the sables and send them to noblelama.

This...I play him in a grixis deck and he never becomes a creature but I'm always happy to draw him as he does so much anyway

This is true. I'll find space.

Working on it I've got at least 10 already.
