In honor of the new format we've created: Commander 2.0, and for future development solicitation, I'll be giving away a cadre of Magic the Gathering cards, headlined by a beautiful, foil, artist signed with silver sharpie {Venser, the Sojourner} (Duel Deck Series, EN) and some other goodies. This contest is simple.

●An official name for Commander 2.0

Contest rules
•Enter as many times as you'd like.
•Winner is picked at my disgression.
•Be detailed about your choice of name.

Out of curiosity, did you get it signed at GP Boston?

A friend of mine went and had it signed for me at GP Boston. I would have loved to go, I had a bunch of other foils for him to sign. He's the big prize for this contest, and probably other {U}{W} cards as a lil theme gift pack.

Cool. Wish I had remembered to bring mine to get it signed...

Anyway, back on topic. Ignore me! :P

Why not just call it SCF. Or Sensible Commander Format

Agrus Kos, Enforcer of Truth

My guess would be a synonym for Commander, like Warlords, Generals (could be confusing),  Mastermind, Cheiftain, Captain, or Officer

Don't ask why, but the word Skirmish is stuck in my head. I think that sounds pretty nice.

I was considering that, too.  Something along the lines of Commander: Skirmish.  It's a variant of a well-known format, so having the original name in there can help people identify it.  The format seems more fitting to combat styles of gameplay, making it feel like it'd be more of a Front Line conflict during a war, rather than a Grand, decisive battle that traditional EDH can sometimes feel like...  So, Skirmish.

Exactly.

I vote for:

Decisively Underwhelming Dudes Entering Combat On Regular Events.  We could call it DUDECORE for short?

FlickerYourOwnIdentity

I was thinking along the lines of, "Commander: Contested."  Love your ideas for commander 2.0 as I was brushing up on it for awhile.  Some great changes!  Keep up the good work!

JordanCirk
